About  Little Red

​Hi, I'm Odette – the face, hands, and voice behind Little Red. I'm a creative at heart who loves connecting with people through handcrafted jewellery, soulful music, and hands-on workshops.

Jewellery
I started Little Red while I was living in the UK during COVID, missing home and the important women in my life. Creating became my way to honour them, turning a challenging time into something beautiful. Growing up with a unique name, I never saw it on keychains or mugs, so naming my pieces – each with its own style and story – became a meaningful part of what I do.

​I specialise in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted jewellery that can either make a bold statement or add a touch of uniqueness to your look. Each piece is personally designed, researched, and named based on intuition, energy, and meaning.

Music

Music has always been part of my life. Like many Aussie kids, my first instrument was the recorder at 5 years old. I couldn’t wait to get to Grade 3 because that’s when you could finally join the school orchestra – and at 7 years old, I started learning the violin. By 9, I switched to the cello. Admittedly, it wasn’t the most practical choice, given it was bigger than I was! My parents even had to rig up a trolley system just so I could cart it around.

Sadly, as they were school-hire instruments, there were a few years in my early 20s when music took a backseat, leaving me with only the radio to sing along to. In my mid-20s, I taught myself the guitar – a much more practical and moderately sized option. Then, on my 28th birthday, my girlfriends all chipped in to buy me a cello – a gift I treasure to this day. It still takes pride of place in my home, even though the guitar has been my main focus in recent years.

From there, I’ve spent countless hours playing my guitar and singing my heart out in the confines of my house. In late 2024, I took a brave step: performing in front of others. It’s a little scary, but I feel the fear and do it anyway because it’s good for my soul – and seeing the joy it brings to others makes it all worthwhile. From 2025 onwards, I’m embracing this musical side of Little Red, performing heartfelt songs with my nylon acoustic guitar!

Workshops
I'm excited to bring jewellery-making workshops to those who love creating as much as I do. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to explore new techniques, these sessions are about sharing skills, celebrating creativity, and crafting something truly unique.
